Because we really want you to get the full benefits of communing with nature. Check-in is at 3:30 pm and check-out is at 11 am, which leaves you too little time to enjoy the outdoors.  Also, we have a small cleaning crew, making it difficult to handle the extra workload of daily housekeeping.

Throughout the summer months, we offer activities such as hiking the mountain Sylvio Lacharité, swimming and paddleboard on the Lac La Source, kayaking and canoeing on the Lac aux Castors, as well as biking throughout the trails. Lakeside on Lac La Source, we also have a variety of installations for  relaxation.

During winter months, put on a pair of snowshoes and explore the trails as a whole new experience. And when weather allows, we offer a skating rink on Lac La Source,

Yes! Le Vertendre is located right next to the ‘Route Verte’, the longest bicycle trail in North America!

Yes. Sheets, blankets and pillow cases are provided for each bed. There is also one towel and facecloth per personne.

Yes the water is safe to drink.

No! The energy generating wheel and bikes are there to create electricity of course, but the solar panels are what provide the Zoobox with the amount of energy necessary for functioning. It would be next to impossible to pedal/run enough to function the Zoobox. These mechanical tools help sensitize users to the effort required to create the electricity needed for the television, popcorn machine, phone charger, etc.

Le Vertendre offers luggage transport, to make your hike to your Zoobox lighter! However, we are counting on your cooperation in order to limit you to 1 piece of luggage of a maximum of 25 pounds per person. If the baggage cannot be transported safely (exceeds the maximum weight), we will ask you to transport it yourself. Any additional luggage can be transported on a trolley or sled, depending on the season, at your disposal free of charge.

Yes, there is a BBQ in every unit.

Our cottages are not waterfront, but renters have access to our two lakes.

Many of our Zooboxes are located near Lac aux Castors. Zooboxes 54, 55, 56, 65, 66, 67, 68, 80, 81, 82, 84, 83, 85, 87, 88 and 89.

The security deposit is held for security purposes to protect the owner of the Zoobox. We do not take any money from the security deposit before contacting you. (ex. broken equipement, stolen property, extra cleaning fee, etc.)

The wood is included for our Zoobox units (indoor and outdoor firewood).

For our cottages, it is possible to buy bundles of wood at the reception desk.
